Christmas Tree Time!

We went yesterday to cut down our Christmas tree at Middlemiss Farms, nice and close to our house. It was a beautiful day and they have hot chocolate and candy canes for when you come up the hill after picking your tree.

Can you find Mark hiding in the trees?

Days of summer – family.

The August long weekend started with a play. Organized by Kiah and the kids. We all had specific places to sit. Mark was the tree. It was an interesting start to a great weekend!

Days of summer – Friends.

A few weeks ago we headed over to the mainland to meet up with some of our people, visiting from Alberta.  We were excited to meet their two new little ones. Then we spent the afternoon at the park, making sure the kids stuck around, catching up on life, and visiting with other friends who joined the party. It was a lot of fun for all!

Kittens on the ferry. We kept getting strange looks from the people around us. And yes we put them back in their cage before driving.

Days of summer – relaxing.

The girls spend quite a bit of time with the kittens. The kittens are very good natured about it, thankfully!

Snug (pictured above) doesn’t actually behave like a cat. He is more like a dog at heart and loves to come sit on you wherever you are and even likes to have his belly rubbed.

Teigan thought the kittens might be cold while they napped so she shared her blankie with them.IMG_20140705_101109

Days of summer – the beginning.

In a usually futile attempt to document some of the fun things we do in life, here is the beginning of a hopefully very successful attempt, just for the summer. No promises for anything after this summer! Here is goes 🙂

Hanging out with cousins in Langley! It was kinda rainy so the kids requested hot chocolate.
